ABOUT US
Founded in 2021, Begin Again Counseling established its roots as a private practice serving individuals and couples struggling with barriers caused by mental health and life’s challenges. In 2023, Begin Again owner, Michelle Hunt, decided to return to working with individuals and families struggling with the ramifications of substance use by re-engaging within the recovery community and building a program in Georgetown, KY.
By April of 2024, Michelle recognized there are significant deficits and gaps within the recovery and mental health communities at which point she chose to expand the services offered by Begin Again Counseling. Today Begin Again Counseling operates as a holistic agency providing services to individuals, couples, families, businesses, and communities to fill in the behavioral health gaps which have perpetuated the problems caused by a lack of effective mental health and substance use treatment. Begin Again Counseling employs clinicians, peer supports, targeted case managers, community support associates, and many others who are appropriately licensed, credentialed, and trained to help address a variety of needs while overcoming barriers. Michelle Hunt, Owner/CEO
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families who are dealing with addiction, substance use, trauma, co-dependency, and other issues. I offer a unique perspective and techniques which include collaboration with my clients regarding treatment using a strengths-based, person-centered approach. My educational background includes a MSSW in Social Work from Campbellsville University. I have a B.A. in English from Eastern Kentucky University. I am board-approved to provide supervision to those working to obtain their master’s, are CSWs, and/or are working toward becoming a LCSW.
